The 30-year-old was a university star, profitable an NCAA Division II nationwide championship with Florida Southern as a junior.

Travis received back into the sport enjoying 3×3 basketball at weekends and was invited to the 2020 USA Basketball coaching camp.

"For me it's good…I don't miss work," he stated.

"I fly out after work on a Friday, I play Saturday and Sunday and get again Sunday night time, and you get to win some cash in the event you do properly."

At one level, Travis virtually give up three×3 basketball because it was getting in the best way of his day job.

However in 2022, USA Basketball named him to its national group and Travis helped his nation qualify for the Paris Olympics with victory within the Pan American Video games final yr.

Travis has now put his educating job on hold as he pursues his Olympic goals.

"I never even knew this might be in the playing cards for me," Travis told the Associated Press.
