Michael Bublé has a brand-new addition to his team on The Voice!

During the Monday, Oct. 27 episode of the singing competition show, the "Haven't Met You Yet" singer chose to use his one and only steal on Team Niall's Jack Austin.

"Jack just showed way too much potential for me not to use my steal. You know, he actually kind of reminds me of a young Niall. And I just now how best to set him up so he gets as far as possible on The Voice," Bublé, 50, said after hitting his steal button.

Before he was saved, Austin performed with trio Dek of Hearts and Horan ultimately chose them to remain in the competition.

"I had to choose Dek of Hearts, their three-part harmony is beyond belief. I've never had a trio. I obviously come from a band, how to make a big harmony like that, that's part of my world," the "This Town" singer said. "They want to learn more about themselves as a band and I feel like I can do that with them."

Later in the episode, coach Reba McEntire teared up as she remembered her late stepson, Brandon Blackstock, after a moving performance by Aubrey Nicole. The contestant sang Martina McBride's "I'm Gonna Love You Through It," which is a song about a woman facing a cancer diagnosis — and her husband's unwavering support.

"Martina's a good friend of mine. I lost my oldest son because he did not win with cancer," McEntire — who was previously married to Brandon's father Narvel Blackstock from 1989 until 2015 — said.

"That was a real reminder that life goes on, and we sing songs about it so we can remember the ones around us that we love so much, that we lean on at times like this. You did a great job," McEntire shared.

PEOPLE confirmed that Blackstock died of melanoma, a form of skin cancer, on Aug. 7 at age 48. Earlier this month, McEntire spoke with PEOPLE for a cover story and said her relationship with her stepson was "precious."

"Brandon is sorely missed, truly missed with his mischievousness and his love of life. He brought joy to everybody that met him, and we'll never forget him," she said.

The Voice airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
