Glenn Close had a hilarious yet relatable reaction after she got caught up in Gen Z slang alongside her All's Fair co-stars.

The actress proved that even Hollywood legends can struggle with the new lingo.

Before the show's debut, the cast sat down for an interview with Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Sarah Paulson, Teyana Taylor and Niecy Nash.

During the All's Fair cast's interview withPeople for a shoot in Los Angeles, the 12 Years a Slave star teased the "Gonna Love Me" songstress about getting an Oscar nod.

Taylor mentioned being out of town, but Paulson poked fun and said, "It's because you were busy getting ready to get nominated for an Oscar," referring to her Best Supporting Actress nomination for her character in One Battle After Another.

"Oh my god," the actress said shyly, but the American Horror Story star continued teasing her in Gen Z slang.

"Ate, ate, ate. Chop, chop. What's the other one? Clocking." Sarah Paulson plssss 😭🤣 pic.twitter.com/NtlJkgHLmD

"What is it?" she asked and eventually figured out the term, "Ate! Ate! Ate! Chop! Chop!" with hand signals.

Paulson then asked her co-stars about another term, "clock it," meaning to notice something or catch onto something.

Niecy Nash chimed in and explained, saying she uses "clock it" instead of "clocking."

However, in the middle of the playful conversation, the 101 Dalmatians star looked completely lost, clearly puzzled by all the new-age slang being thrown around.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," she said, to which Paulson responded, saying, "I know. But I'm gonna tell you later and you're gonna be very excited about it."

The post sparked laughter among fans, with many saying they could totally relate to the award-winning actress.

"I thought I would be a Sarah, but I'm definitely closer to Glenn Close in this," one wrote.

A commenter also adored the actress' playful honesty, noting, "I love that Glenn started doing it and then was like "…wait, wtf am I doing?"

Fans were also surprised by how fluent Paulson is with the latest slang.

"Screaming. I love Sarah so much, and I'm glad Kim kept quiet. She knew better," a user mentioned.

"She's sooo Gen Z coded sometimes jdjdksj," another echoed.

"WHO TAUGHT SARAH THOSE clock it?" one asked.

Even if she couldn't quite catch on to the Gen Z lingo, Close's co-stars praised her and said they felt truly honored to share the screen with her.

In the same interview, the Ratched star confessed that they were "a little in awe" to be working with the iconic actress on the project.

All's Fair is a legal drama series created by Ryan Murphy, the man behind hit series Nip/Tuck, Glee and American Horror Story.

Airing every Tuesday, the upcoming TV show will debut on Nov. 4 on Hulu.
