Cheryl Hines is opening up about her longtime rapport with "TV husband" Larry David.
The American actress, 60, recently joined Hot Mics With Billy Bush and spoke to the podcast host, 54, about where things stand with her Curb Your Enthusiasm co-star, 78.
The celebrity pair, as many know, worked together on HBO's hit comedy series since 2000.
When Bush asked if things "changed a little" — given that David is a known liberal and Hines is married to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is part of Donald Trump's current administration — Hines replied, "I love Larry, and I think Larry loves me. I think it's just the politics."
The comedienne added that she hasn't talked to her David "in a while," ever since the Curb finale screening in April 2024.
"I think it's interesting... I do have one friend I'd talk to almost every day, who now she doesn't talk to me," Hines added. "But with Larry, he's not one you call and chat with him. I do feel, like, if I had a reason to call him, he would talk to me. I don't think he would not talk to me."
She continued, "The truth of the matter is, because I'm married to Bobby and Bobby's in the [Trump] administration, just knowing that is enough for some people to not want to see my face, be around me."
Hines also took time during her podcast interview to reflect on her initial audition for Curb Your Enthusiasm.
"I didn't know much about Larry at the time," she told Bush. "I knew he was a lot older than me, so I thought, 'Well, nothing I can do about that, but I'll just do my best.' I didn't feel that surprised when they told me I got the part just because, like, sometimes you walk into a room and you feel the energy and everything's right, the way it should be in this moment. It just felt very natural."
