Jason Isaacs, known for his roles in Peter Pan and theHarry Potterfilm franchise, revealed his children don't find his recent accolade that impressive.

While speaking to People magazine in August 2025, Isaacs noted that he received his first Emmy Award nomination for Supporting Actor in a Drama. According to the actor, his adult children, Lily, 23, and Ruby, 20, were not overly excited about his nomination for playing Timothy Ratliff during The White Lotus Season 3.

"I'm [currently] shooting in Dublin, and I went to Montreal for a couple of days to put my daughter's shelves up and put pictures up and blinds and take her shopping and get furniture for [her] apartment. That's all she cares about — and that's all she should care about with your parents. They're not remotely impressed by what I do for a living," said Isaacs.

He also said he's not too focused on the Emmy nomination.

"I don't mean that it's not incredibly flattering and lovely. I just know that I've been doing this job for a very, very long time, and very rarely do you get this kind of attention," said Isaacs, who is married to Emma Hewitt.

He also expressed gratitude to the show's creator, Mike White, for writing the shady businessman.

"I just had a fantastic part. Mike White creates these three-dimensional, surprising human beings that behave in the kind of jagged and particular ways they do, and asks of all the actors to go to places they don't normally go," said the actor to the publication. "I felt like I won an award just getting the part and getting to do it and getting to stretch all those muscles and have all those challenges."

During a June 2025 interview on Jesse Tyler Ferguson's podcast, Dinner's on Me, Isaacs, who has been in the entertainment industry for over 30 years, said he imparted some words of wisdom to his younger White Lotus co-stars. He said he became "very close to" his on-screen children, Sarah Catherine Hook,Sam Nivola, and Patrick Schwarzenegger. According to Isaacs, he told his co-stars to "go to Sundance, find filmmakers you like, have lunch with them [and] find the people." He said while he's not against starring in a big franchise, he believes actors should work with "interesting people making interesting projects."

"Otherwise you can suddenly find yourself, you know, on a happy meal, but not having a career," explained the 62-year-old.
