A Texas family grocer is shutting its doors after 66 years, but local shoppers aren't sure who to blame for the beloved store's closure. City Market, an independent grocer in Burleson, announced its closure this month following a dispute over rent, which had local residents picking sides. In early January, the business' owner Kurt Jaeger was 'praying for a miracle' to keep the City Market open. Now - after attempts to stay afloat - with shortened hours, liquidation prices and an 'everything must go' sign, the store expects to shut near the end of the month.
