The mother of late hockey player Matthew Gaudreau offered heartwarming words on social media following the recent birth of her new grandson. Almost four months after Matthew and his brother, NHL star Johnny Gaudreau, were killed by an alleged drunk driver while biking, Matthew's wife Madeline gave birth to the couple's first baby, a son named Tripp. Madeline announcing Tripp's arrival in an Instagram post on Dec. 29. "Tripp Matthew 🤍🦋 Mommy Daddy's world," she captioned the post, which also featured her holding baby Tripp's hand with a sign that read "He's Here.
