I'm 78 and have been having daily nose bleeds for the past fortnight. It can happen at any time, including the middle of the night. I don't want to bother my GP about it as my pharmacist said it wasn't serious. What do you think? Dr Ellie Cannon replies: Nose bleeds that occur regularly should be assessed by a doctor. More often than not, the bleeding comes from a fragile area inside the nose where the blood vessels are easily damaged.
