Families of sorority sisters killed in horror crash sue the state of California


The families of the four Pepperdine University sorority girls who were killed on the Pacific Coast Highway have sued several California governments over the tragedy. Niamh Rolston, Peyton Stewart, Asha Weir, and Deslyn Williams were struck and killed by a BMW driver along the Pacific Coast Highway in an area known locally as 'Dead Man's Curve' in October 2023. Now, their parents have separately filed lawsuits in the Santa Monica Superior Court against Los Angeles County, Malibu, Caltrans, the state of California, and the California Coastal Commission.
