When Zachary Harakas felt a nip on his right leg while gardening in his backyard, he thought nothing of it. When he looked down he saw a brown spider scuttering away and his initial thought was 'could this be a... bite?' but the pain wasn't sore enough to dwell on it. Within days, however, the Missouri father-of-three's leg began to swell, turn green and rot. He was rushed to hospital where it was revealed he had necrosis and tissue had started to die beneath his skin.
