With the massive success of the Nintendo Switch people are hoping for a console successor that keeps all of the things we love about Nintendo's current console.

Different sources have claimed that they've seen a sneak peek at the upcoming console, from developers who claim they tried it at Gamescom, to manufacturers that claim to have made something for it.

However, the latest report comes from someone who says they didn't see the console but they felt it.

A reporter from Spanish site Vandal claims that they spoke to an accessory manufacturer for the Nintendo Switch 2, which was allowed to feel the upcoming console while it was inside an opaque box.

Their source told them that this method was to maintain the privacy of the console, while also allowing them to more easily develop accessories.

The manufacturer claims that the new controllers will be magnetic, meaning that it is unlikely that current Joy-Con will be able to fit onto the Switch 2.

From the feel of the console, it will apparently be bigger than a Switch OLED but smaller than a Steam Deck.

While we've researched leaks and rumours for a long time, we've never heard of a company allowing people to feel, but not see, an upcoming product.

Nintendo is well-known for being strict about preventing leaks of its products, but this seems to be a wild new development even for it.

This rumour should be taken with a pinch of salt, but who knows? Maybe Nintendo has taken its privacy a whole box further.
