Daisy Kent received candid about dealing with the "loneliest ache" after dropping her hearing at age 15.

Daisy, 25, who's presently starring on Joey Graziadei's season 28 of The Bachelor, opened up about her expertise via TikTok in honor of Worldwide Cochlear Implant Day on Sunday, February 25. "I was informed once that God was doing one thing special with me and that there was little question that someday my ears would pop and I might hear," she wrote alongside a lot of photographs from throughout her journey.

"Dropping my listening to has been the loneliest ache I've skilled," she continued. "I pictured myself in a glass field since I was 15 and I'm pounding on the walls screaming and terrified. Individuals are wanting in at me they usually can't hear me. I can't hear them. I'm alone with one of the harmful issues — my thoughts."

Daisy admitted she felt "confusion" and was "pissed off" when she lost her potential to listen to, but wanting again, she "wouldn't have had it another method."

"Dropping my hearing has given me the power to take a look at myself and understand how robust I'm, how succesful I'm, how I've the power to take one thing troublesome and create one thing lovely," Daisy wrote.

Daisy acquired her cochlear implant in 2023. She explained on The Bachelor that her hearing loss might have been a result of Lyme disease, which she was later recognized with at age 21.

"Deciding to get a cochlear implant was arduous for me, for two reasons," Daisy wrote by way of TikTok. "One because it's scary and two as a result of I felt like my faith had failed. Like my religion wasn't large enough. Huge selections can't be made out of worry, they need to be made out of affection. So I made it out of love and the absolute best consequence."

Whereas navigating her hearing loss, Daisy released a youngsters's ebook titled Daisy Doo All The Sounds She Knew. The story follows Daisy Doo as she rediscovers sounds through the use of a cochlear implant. She's also shared movies of her first time utilizing the implant, her experience with Lyme disease and extra.

Since The Bachelor premiered in January, Daisy quickly became a fan favorite and was even picked by Joey, 28, to go on the primary one-on-one date of the season. The pair enjoyed a helicopter journey, a music pageant and a romantic dinner before Daisy opened up about her listening to.

"I need to thank @bachelorabc @bachelornation @abcnetwork for permitting me to share a part of my story in one of the simplest ways potential," she wrote via Instagram final month after her date aired.
