A JAPANESE wrestler has passed away aged 21 following an "sudden accident".
Asahi – who wrestled for the Actwres woman'Z (AWG) promotion – sadly died on February 1.
In a press release, AWG confirmed they've cancelled their next present on February 9.
A publish on social media learn: "We want to inform you that Asahi, a member of our firm, has passed away as a consequence of an sudden accident.
"The Shinkiba performance on February ninth has been cancelled in the meanwhile.
"We'll inform you concerning the future inside the next day or two. We want to categorical our gratitude to everyone who has supported Asahi thus far."
Wrestling fans have been left in shock following her passing, as one wrote: "A beam of sunshine and happiness all the time. asahi endlessly."
Another added: "'RIP Asahi, 21 is not any age in the slightest. A very sad day for wrestling. Ideas go out to all her household, pals and fans."
Asahi's final match was at AWG's January 31 event when she teamed up with Yufa to beat Ayano Irie and Kira An, based on The Metro.
She began her wrestling career aged just 14 for the Ice Ribbon promotion.
Asahi would later wrestle for the likes of, Ganbare Professional, DREAM and others across Japan.
She took a break from the ring in 2020 to concentrate on her schoolwork earlier than returning a yr later.
Asahi final yr decided to end her contract with Ice Ribbon and joined Actwres woman'Z.
