Alison Hammond has admitted she initially felt like a 'failure' after splitting from the father of her son.
The This Morning presenter, 48, first hit screens on the 2002 season of Big Brother, happening to hitch ITV's flagship breakfast programme, before signing as much as co-host The Nice British Bake Off final yr.
Through the years she's also appeared on I'm a Movie star…Get Me Out of Right here!, Strictly Come Dancing and Movie star MasterChef.
However it was on the newest episode of This Morning that she admitted a specific time in her personal life left her feeling unsuccessful.
On Friday's episode, Alison and co-host Dermot O'Leary have been chatting with Paloma Religion about her new album The Glorification of Unhappiness, which she stated was based on her break-up with Leyman Lahcine, the father of her two youngsters.
'It feels very heavy that I broke up with my youngsters's dad. I felt levels of grief and even now two years on I feel this sense of guilt I failed my youngsters, society and what's anticipated,' she shared.
'The album goes by means of the levels of grief It's my largest failure and my only regret regardless of being somebody who has never regretted anything.'
Nevertheless soon after Alison gave her a pep speak, saying that whilst she had as soon as felt the same, it was incorrect.
'That doesn't make you a failure- you're a single mum and a pop star who's smashing life. That's your life and journey and story.'
She continued: 'I felt that failure with my son's dad once we broke up but he moved on and has three different youngsters now and they are part of our life.'
Alison shares son Aiden, 18, together with her former associate Noureddine Boufaied, a cab driver in Manchester.
She was final publicly in a relationship with gardener Ben Hawkins, however they're thought to have cut up early last yr.
The previous couple dated for around two years but stored their relationship personal with the pair solely pictured in public together once.
Alison previously spoke about her strategy to relationships on Gyles Brandreth's podcast Rosebud, admitting she 'struggles' because she loves her own company.
'I feel that's why I wrestle in relationships because I don't want anyone round me all the time. I really like being alone. I'm OK with it. I've by no means felt lonely.'
