It took three weeks, but the Kansas City Chiefs are finally in the win column. The Chiefs notched their first victory of the year with a strong 22-9 win over the New York Giants on Sunday night.

Given the team's early struggles, and margin of the win, it should have been a celebratory moment for the Chiefs and their fans. But before that could happen, there was one less than savory moment that needed to be addressed after the game.

With the Chiefs leading 6-0 in the second quarter, cameras captured Chiefs coach Andy Reid getting into a verbal altercation with star tight end Travis Kelce. Reid even bumped Kelce's shoulder as the two exchanged words on the sideline.

Something tells me Andy Reid has given this same shoulder bump to Travis Kelce before, and each time it was to send a very specific message. Consider this the end of it for both of them.pic.twitter.com/VeE6EfwLxX

After the contest, Reid downplayed the confrontation, crediting Kelce for bringing some passion to the team in the second quarter, per ESPN.

"I love Travis' passion, man," said Reid, who is in his 13th season coaching the Chiefs. "I'm OK with that. We didn't have enough of it in the second quarter. It wasn't where we needed it to be, so, within reason, he knows when to back off the pedal and knows when to push it too."

Reid called Kelce an emotional and "passionate guy." The coach also made sure to stress there were no hard feeling between the two, telling media members, "Don't make too much of it."

Kelce — who finished the contest with four catches for 26 yards — was not in the locker room when the media arrived. While he did not offer a quote after the game, Kelce was reportedly happy when leaving the stadium, and was smiling and congratulating teammates, per ESPN.

The 35-year-old Kelce will likely address his sideline confrontation with Reid during the new episode of the "New Heights" podcast. Kelce often addresses the Chiefs and his performance on the program.

Once that episode is out, expect Kelce to echo many of Reid's comments. It's far from the first time Kelce and Reid have gotten into it on the sideline. Each time those types of exchanges happen, it seems like the two are able to quickly bury the hatchet and get back to work.

It will be even more important for the two to turn the page this time around. With the Baltimore Ravens coming to town in Week 4, the Chiefs will need to be fully locked in on their opponent if they want to secure a second-straight win.
