A source told Page Six that it took place "a couple of weeks ago."
Swift and Kelce have been dating since 2023.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce revealed their engagement on Tuesday with a joint Instagram post that's since racked up over 15 million likes. As a recent Page Six report suggests, however, the couple has kept this highly anticipated news secret for some time.
A source close to Swift and Kelce told the outlet that the football player popped the question "a couple of weeks ago," though an exact date wasn't confirmed.

The same insider also revealed that Kelce's relatives were aware of the engagement before today's announcement. They're reportedly "happy" and "thrilled" for Swift to join the family.
"Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨," Swift captioned the Instagram carousel, which features photos of the couple posing in a rose garden. She also shows off her massive 10-carat sparkler, which is estimated to cost $1 million.

The pop star began dating Kelce, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, in 2023. She recently made her first appearance on his hit podcast "New Heights," which he co-hosts with his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.
Speculation about Swift and Kelce's engagement has circulated for months. Back in May, The Daily Mail reported that a proposal was on the horizon for the superstar couple.
"Everyone is just waiting for Travis to ask her parents for her hand in marriage, her parents will say yes, and they can't wait for them to get engaged," a source shared. "Nothing seems to be imminent, but it will 100 percent happen. Taylor and Travis are treating this relationship as their last relationship, and when they get engaged, when they get married and when they start a family, it will be exactly when it is meant to happen."
