Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup are having a romantic — and rainy — date night in Venice.
The husband-and-wife duo stepped out on Thursday, Aug. 28 at the Venice International Film Festival premiere of the George Clooney-led movie Jay Kelly, which Crudup, 57, stars in.
All smiles and hand in hand with her husband at the rain-soaked event, Watts, 56, wore a diaphanous floor-length dress in beige with glittering floral appliques and a black bow. The Morning Show Emmy winner looked dashing in a cream-colored tuxedo jacket with a black bowtie.

The couple, who were first linked since 2017 and married in 2023, greeted photographers and friends alike with enthusiasm. As the Jay Kelly cast and crew milled about the carpet, Watts snapped a picture on her phone of Crudup and his costar Adam Sandler.
Jay Kelly is directed by Noah Baumbach, who co-wrote it with Emily Mortimer. Clooney, 64, plays the titular character, a famous movie star on a soul-searching journey throughout Europe with his manager (played by Sandler, 58).
The Netflix film also costars Laura Dern, Eve Hewson, Grace Edwards, Stacy Keach, Riley Keough, Isla Fisher, Patrick Wilson and Baumbach's wife, director/actor Greta Gerwig. Many of the stars, including Clooney and his wife Amal, were in attendance at the Venice premiere alongside Crudup and Watts.

The Oscar-nominated actress shares two kids, Kai and Sasha, with ex-husband Liev Schreiber. Crudup shares son William Parker with ex Mary-Louise Parker. Via social media, Watts has offered glimpses of their blended families and sweet moments with her husband.

Crudup will reprise his role on The Morning Show in the Apple TV+ drama's fourth season, premiering Sept. 17. Among Watts' upcoming screen projects are two Ryan Murphy dramas: All's Fair, premiering in the fall, and American Love Story, in which she'll play Jackie Kennedy.
Following its Venice premiere, Jay Kelly is in theaters on Nov. 14 and streaming on Netflix Dec. 5.
