Emma Stonemay have inadvertently started a new hair movement after going bald for her upcoming film Bugonia.
The newly released trailer, directed by critically acclaimed filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos, features Stone sporting a clean-shaven scalp — her shortest hairstyle ever.
The film, described as a dark comedy, follows Stone's character, a pharmaceutical CEO who is abducted by conspiracy theorists.
In the Youtubeclip, the 36-year-old actress wakes up to discover she's being held at the "headquarters of the Human Resistance," where the men in question have shaved her long red hair "to prevent" her "from contacting your mother ship."
Stone, a two-time Academy Award winner and known for her fearless commitment to transformative roles, spoke candidly with Vogue earlier this month about the experience of going bald. She described it as liberating, saying there is "no better feeling in the world" than being bald.
"The first shower when you've shaved your head? Oh my God, it's amazing," Stone shared, reflecting on the sensory impact of her new look in Bugonia.
