Americans hoping to receive money back from DOGE's efforts to cut government waste should not expect a check any time soon - if at all. As billionaire Elon Musk's DOGE team seeks to slash government spending, President Trump signaled some of the money saved could be returned to taxpayers. But despite Musk's team claiming it has saved roughly $105 billion or more than $650 a taxpayer, multiple reports have shown the receipts so far do not add up.
