A Canadian mother and her son tragically died while vacationing in the Dominican Republic after suffering from severe food poisoning. The Gougeon family traveled from their home in Toronto to Viva Dominicus Beach by Wyndham Resort for a highly anticipated all-inclusive vacation just after Christmas in 2023. But within 24 hours, the trip took a devastating turn when April, Stephen and their two children Oliver and Wesley became violently ill - allegedly from the food at the resort's buffet.
