Who Was Eminems Mom? All About Debbie Nelson

Eminem's mom, Debbie Nelson, celebrated her son's accomplishments just two years before she died at age 69. The grandmother died on Dec. 2 after being diagnosed with lung cancer. In her childhood, Nelson was the eldest of five children. Her parents married young (Betty Nelson married Bob Nelson at 14 years old and had Debbie at 15) and relied heavily on Nelson to help provide for the family. By age 11, Nelson would go alone to collect "surplus food" and was put in charge of "keeping the house, caring for my brothers, cooking and cleaning," she wrote in her memoir My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem.
