Prosecutors have explained that the reason they did not bring a criminal case against Conor McGregor was in part because of the 'strength of evidence' from his rape accuser Nikita Hand considering how much alcohol and drugs she had consumed. McGregor, 36, faced an accusation that he 'brutally raped and battered' Nikita Hand, 35, at a hotel in south Dublin in December 2018. After deliberating for six hours and 10 minutes, the jury returned with their verdicts in civil court yesterday afternoon, and awarded Ms Hand nearly €250,000.
