A British woman has been scammed out of thousands of pounds in an 'incredibly unusual fraud' that saw her fall in love with an American colonel who was actually an AI fake. 'Mary', a care worker in her 60s from the east of England, was hoodwinked out of £20,000 in just two weeks by a scammer who posed as a 61-year-old US colonel by the name of Mike Murdy, the Sunday Times reported.
