On Aug. 21, 1987, summer vacations changed forever when Dirty Dancing premiered. The film told the stories of resort dance director Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze, then 34) and young guest Frances "Baby" Houseman (Jennifer Grey, then 27), and how the two unlikely paramours ultimately fell in love. "Jennifer really jumped into this stuff," Swayze told PEOPLE at the time. "She came out with a sensuality in her dancing that staggered everybody.
