A REDDIT consumer has claimed to have made a huge mistake that left their iPhone very broken.

A picture of the unfortunate mistake was posted to the popular Reddit discussion board r/iPhone.

The discussion board is described as "Reddit's little corner for iPhone lovers (and some individuals who simply mildly take pleasure in it…)."

"Do NOT stick something adhesive in your back glass," the disgruntled iPhone owner wrote.

They hooked up a picture of a very damaged device to the submit which showed the glass on the back of the telephone had cracked.

A few of the glass is missing and the internal contents of the telephone are seen.

The submit was upvoted greater than 200 occasions, and different Reddit customers expressed their disbelief that glue might trigger such injury.

"Did you rip it off quick like a Band-Assist and it was too late earlier than you realized or was it a slow-mo practice wreck and also you stored going because why the hell not? Genuinely curious lol," one consumer requested.

It's not just adhesive that you must avoid your iPhone.

Apple has a list of products on its website which are greatest evaded the system.

"Clear your iPhone immediately if it comes in contact with something which may trigger stains or different injury — for example, dust or sand, ink, makeup, soap, detergent, acids or acidic foods, or lotions," it warns.
