Andrew Scott's mother, Nora Scott, has died.
The Irish actor, recognized for his roles in Fleabag and BBC Sherlock as well as critically acclaimed new film All Of Us Strangers, has been left devastated by the sudden lack of his mum, who died after a 'sudden illness' on Thursday.
Whereas Andrew himself has not publicly commented on Nora's demise, the family shared an announcement on web site RIP.ie.
They stated it was 'with our deepest sorry that we inform you of the passing of Nora Scott (nee Boyle), beloved spouse of Jim, mom of Sarah, Andrew and Hannah.'
Nora, initially from Omagh in County Tyrone however who lived in Sandymount, Dublin, died on Thursday, March 7, 'peacefully surrounded by her loving family and greatest pal Anne.'
She died at St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin, 'following a sudden sickness.'
The announcement went on to say the mum-of-three can be 'deeply missed by her beloved husband Jim, her loving youngsters Sarah, Andrew and Hannah, a lot liked daughter-in-law Janine, sisters Gertrude and Molly and brother Andrew, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephew, nieces, kin, neighbours and lots of associates.'
Her funeral is due to take place on Tuesday, March 12 in Dublin.
Andrew shared an in depth bond together with his mother, and during a 2019 look on The Graham Norton Present revealed he had been sworn to secrecy when he was forged to seem in an episode of Black Mirror, however could not resist telling his mum.
He stated at the time: 'The whole thing was shrouded in mystery.
