ABC premiere leaves audience in stitches after it's 'totally ruined' by rogue karaoke mic: 'It was too funny'
The Sydney premiere of the ABCs upcoming series Westerners turned into a disaster on Monday when it became 'hijacked' by a nearby karaoke night. Audience members were reduced to fits of laughter during a post-screening Q and A when the vocals from a nearby pub were piped into the theatre - minus any backing music. An eye witness later explained that the mic at the premiere was using the same frequency as the karaoke night organisers.
