A small gulf island that is a popular tourist attraction has been left decimated after Hurricane Helene slammed Florida. Cedar Key was blasted by the power of the Category 4 hurricane as it hit the small island, which sits less than 10 feet above sea level in Levy County. Michael Bobbitt, 48, was one of those who decided to stay behind. 'We're feeling pretty gut-punched here in Cedar Key. When we were fighting this in the night, however bad we thought it would be, it's much worse in the light of day.
